Paper is one of the most important inventions in our history. One of the milestones that has allowed this useful material has been to spread culture and knowledge to all parts of the world at a low cost. Today we will explain how paper is made.
In ancient times the material used to transmit knowledge in written form was papyrus. Papyrus was made from animal skins and was usually quite expensive. With the advent of paper this all changed by greatly reducing the price of written documents.
However, despite its great advantages, the main disadvantage of paper production is that wood is needed to make it. Gradually, systems are being developed to save wood and minimise the environmental impact. Currently, the most widely used system is the paper recycling.
Below you will find a video explaining in detail the industrial manufacturing process.
